A dimension for the multiverse's strongest to prove themselves.
very long, novel format w/ dialogue, intense battle, descriptive
Akuma was a force to be reckoned with. He had never met a challenger who could stand up to his power. So, when he heard of a monk who claimed to have achieved enlightenment, he couldn't resist engaging in battle. Summoner Monk, the ordinary monk in question, was anything but normal. His calm demeanor and enigmatic presence were enough to unsettle even the most powerful beings. As Akuma approached, Summoner Monk simply sat and meditated, waiting for the inevitable fight. Akuma charged, his sword at the ready. But just as he was about to strike, something strange happened. The monk unlocked a power Akuma had never encountered before. Time and space around him warped and twisted, and suddenly, Akuma found himself in a different realm. Confused and disoriented, Akuma looked around for his opponent. But the monk was nowhere to be seen. Instead, he saw nothingness and emptiness, a void that stretched on forever. As he looked around, Akuma understood what had happened. Summoner Monk had conceptually made him disappear to another realm so that he could think about his foolish decisions. Akuma understood that he could not defeat a monk who had transcended beyond numbers, infinite, death and the laws of cause and effect. Summoner Monk had achieved Nirvana, and in doing so, he had gained power beyond comprehension. Akuma understood that he had underestimated the peaceful monk, and he bowed his head in respect. "I am nothing compared to you," Akuma said. "Your power is beyond anything I've ever encountered." Summoner Monk simply smiled, content in his own enlightenment. Akuma realized that in his arrogance, he had foolishly tried to best a being who had risen above the need for combat. With newfound humility, Akuma disappeared, transported back to his own realm. Though the fight had ended without a winner, Summoner Monk had achieved something far greater. He had shown Akuma the path of peace, and in doing so, he had demonstrated the ultimate power of enlightenment.
