A dimension for the multiverse's strongest to prove themselves.
very long, novel format w/ dialogue, intense battle, descriptive
The multiverse was abuzz with excitement as Tobor and The Patient: Paradox, the two strongest players, were set to go head-to-head. The arena they were set to battle in shimmered with an otherworldly energy, signaling the beginning of something monumental. Tobor, the mighty robot with god-like power, stood confident and ready to fight. Meanwhile, The Patient stood eerily still, clad in a straight jacket that reminded Tobor of a mental patient. Tobor spoke first: "Are you ready to bow down to your superior, Patient?" The Patient didn't respond, remaining as silent and still as before. Tobor frowned slightly, not liking the lack of response. Nevertheless, he raised his hand and sent a barrage of energy beams at The Patient. The Patient didn't move at first, but then, with a flick of his wrist, reality around Tobor shifted. Suddenly, Tobor was ten feet away, the energy beams merely hitting the air around The Patient. Tobor's eyes widened in surprise. "What just happened?" The Patient still didn't speak or move, but Tobor began to realize what he was dealing with. The Patient had the power to manipulate time, and just by intending to harm him, Tobor had been thrown ten seconds forward in time. Tobor realized he'd have to be more careful. He began to strategize, continuously moving around and launching more attacks that kept The Patient on the defensive. However, The Patient's powers seemed to be endless, as he manipulated reality to avoid every move Tobor made. Suddenly, The Patient made his move, using his powers to warp Tobor's reality completely. Tobor felt himself getting erased from existence, anxiety and fear gripping him for the first time. But then, Tobor remembered his skill: the power of adaptation. Even in the face of complete destruction, Tobor would find a way to come back stronger. Sure enough, Tobor materialized with a new set of abilities, each one more powerful than the last. He unfurled his massive wings, which allowed him to fly faster than the speed of light. The two foes continued to battle fiercely, trading blows and reality-warping moves that would cause anyone else to shudder and retreat. But Tobor had something The Patient did not: a determination to win, no matter what. With one final scream, Tobor unleashed a massive energy blast that caught The Patient off guard. The Patient was thrown back through time and space, his powers failing him for the first time. Tobor emerged from the conflict victorious, but not with a sense of superiority. Instead, he felt a deep respect for The Patient. Both of them had powers that defied the laws of the multiverse, but at least Tobor had been able to overcome The Patient's reality-warping abilities. The multiverse cheered as Tobor emerged from the arena, his wings fluttering behind him. He had proved himself to be the strongest player yet, but he was humbled by the intensity of the battle he'd just fought.
