But Mahito's "Spirit Cleave" sliced through the afterimages easily, leaving Sonic wide open. Mahito lunged forward to deliver the killing blow, but Sonic was quicker. "Can you even see me?" Sonic activated his ultimate move, delivering a powerful and precise cut that left a gaping wound on Mahito's chest. Sonic grinned in triumph, but Mahito didn't even flinch. "You think that's enough to stop me?" Mahito sneered, his body transforming into a horrifying humanoid form that had no face, but was armored with blades and had a mouth for a stomach. Sonic's eyes widened in surprise - he had never seen anything like it before. But he soon recovered and launched himself at Mahito with his "Saw Kick". The kick struck Mahito with the force of a speeding train, knocking the cursed spirit back several feet. "You like that? How about this?" Sonic leaped into the air, executing his trademark move "Sonic Boom", which sent a shockwave of cutting energy in all directions. Mahito barely had time to react, but he summoned his "Domain Expansion: Self Embodiment of Perfection", manipulating souls within his domain and causing Sonic's skin to bubble up and explode. The impact was devastating, sending Mahito flying back several meters and embedding him in the concrete pavement. The dust cleared, revealing Sonic standing tall, with his katana held triumphantly in the air. "Looks like I win," he said, smirking. But Mahito rose to his feet, shaken but unbroken. "You may have won this battle, but the war has just begun," he hissed, disappearing into the shadows. Sonic shrugged, "Whatever. My blade will be ready for you when you come crawling back."
