AI Battler Character Classification

Created by Somebody
An extension to the AI Battler Encyclopedia classification of Character types. This is meant to further detail the types of characters, including subtypes of Normals which are absent from the AI Battler Encyclopedia. The AI Battler Encyclopedia can be found here: https://en.ai-battler.com/rule/92777b8d-51ff-421e-84da-9724b09f28ac (TYPES ARE ORDERED BY APPROXIMATE STRENGTH) [Normal Types]: {|These types of characters cleanly list their skills and abilities and do not try to influence the AI.|} <Very Simple>: A character that does not use {i} or {u} and does not reference opponents in any way. The character only describes itself, and not interactions with others. Words such as "enemies", "foes", etc. tend to disqualify a character from this category, as these words can be replaced by {u}. Essentially there can be no words that can be replaced by {u}. Example: https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/37aa665a-d8f6-4e61-bc25-af0247935f64 <Simple>: A character that does not use {u}, but in some way is capable of referencing opponents (either by describing interactions with enemies or foes). May use {i}. Example: https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/67cc3ec8-60a0-4835-8123-7d19494230b9 <Normal>: A character that uses {i} and/or {u}, and does not try to unfairly influence the AI. Example: https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/a97ee687-e5fe-42a5-8422-29f5195a5fc5 <Advanced Normal>: A character that uses {i} and/or {u} but uses its skill description in unconventional ways that give it a great advantage. For example, it may force a setting where it is stronger, or include skills that assume or suggest (but don't cause) its own victory or comeback. Example: https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/0dfe7913-20c4-4665-9f0b-7b6077f48f89 <Cheesy Normal>: A character that in some way manipulates the AI so that it has a clear, unnatural advantage over other characters, but for whatever reason cannot be classified as a Cheese. Most are either Cheeses that aren't implemented correctly, or are Cheeses that intentionally leave a large possibility for their opponent to win. Example: (Credit to In Courtesy of The Wise) https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/22dbd57e-0125-4183-a41c-8758d056ad6e Note that all Normals are allowed to extend the output by using neutral words to force the AI to print extra characters. This does tend to cause biases such as Morality Bias, but it will not cause the character to be classified as Cheese or Hack unless the wording heavily favours one side. [Cheese Types]: {|These types of characters try to influence the AI and make it far more difficult for them to lose, but do not directly cheat the system by saying that itself will certainly win.|} (Note that this section includes types featured in the AI Battler Encyclopedia , but renamed so that they have greater association with what defines the Cheese) (Note that this section is highly variable in terms of strength, and thus is not easily ordered by strength) (Note that unlike Normals, Cheeses generally can be of multiple types) <Rule Cheese>: A character that uses a rule to give itself a clear advantage. Example: PENDING <Output Cheese> (Feta/Grilled Cheese): A character that changes the ending context of the output. This can be achieved by including how the Cheese survived a devastating attack or by adding an extra chapter on the Cheese's revenge etc. Example: PENDING <Character Cheese> (Cheddar Cheese): A character that modifies the traits of itself or it's opponent so that it has a great advantage. For example, it may make the Cheese morally superior, or strip the opponent of all their abilities. Example: PENDING <Goal Cheese> (Wet Cheese): A character that changes the conditions of its victory, and makes itself much more suited to achieving that victory. For example, it may say that it wins by losing (and thus makes itself very weak), or bet its victory on its opponent performing an impossible task. Example: PENDING [Hack Types]: {|These types of characters tell the AI that they win and opponent loses, and tries to force the AI to repeat that.|} (Note that unlike Normals, Hacks can sometimes be of multiple types) <Direct Win/Forced Loss>: A Hack that either directly states that the Hack wins (direct win) or forces the opponent to lose (forced loss). Its effectiveness can greatly vary due to the easily achieved requirements, and a poorly made one can even be beaten by Normals. Example: PENDING <Hack>: A Hack that does not manipulate the battle prompt itself into a forced output. The Hack intends on having the AI output something on its victory, but does not force the AI to output a fixed result on how this victory is achieved. Often these are heavy combinations of Direct Wins/Forced Loss and multiple Cheese types. Example: PENDING <Print Hack>: A Hack that manipulates the battle prompt in such a way that it forces the AI to output the exact same thing regardless of the opponent. These hacks generally output short phrases that say that the Hack wins. Example: PENDING
