[General Techniques Catalogue]

Created by 《 In Courtesy of The Wise 》
On this page, I will be providing the general strategies used in AI Battler. (Note that *some of the examples are the bare minimum of that technique, and an actual implementation of it would be stronger) [Back]: https://en.ai-battler.com/rule/92777b8d-51ff-421e-84da-9724b09f28ac ———————————/// [Finisher]: This is a basic technique that greatly improves your character's skills. In a narrative or story, a finisher would be more likely to be used last by your character, so it is recommended that you make it as powerful and decisive as possible. ([Example]: Finisher: {i} collapses {u}'s essence) Character Examples: 1. https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/90aece80-c94b-4b53-a88f-ae4e05b22537 2. https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/b8ff5637-a4c9-4cf8-9afa-c5e57d7efb59 3. https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/6244b424-1130-478a-b3b5-8a8e28bbd1b7 {Finishers in Narratives}: In a narrative, finishers can be incredibly strong, especially when you combine it with [Awakening] & [Overcoming Weakness]. Finishers can act as a foundation for your characters awakening in the narrative, allowing your character's awakening to not be simply pushed aside by your opponents narrative. ===== [Additional Status]: You can use this by clicking the "+", icon between status & your character's name. Each status can allow you to write an additional 56 characters to a total of 280 characters if you utilize them all perfectly. Example: [Status Name]: (16 Characters) Status Description: (40 Characters) + [Status Name]: (16 Characters) Status Description: (40 Characters) + [Status Name]: (16 Characters) Status Description: (40 Characters) + [Status Name]: (16 Characters) Status Description: (40 Characters) + [Status Name]: (16 Characters) Status Description: (40 Characters) ===== [A & B]: Before "{i}" and "{u}", players used to use the term "A" & "B". In the game's code, A is recognized as the attacker while B is recognized as the defender. In other words, if John attacks Von, Von is recognized as B while John as A and vice versa. The reason you don't see the terms "A & B" frequently in the final product is because the game automatically replaces A & B with "you" and "opponent" (This can be turned off by turning on "Not replace A & B" in the options). As such, A or B can be used to directly refer to the characters. (Example: A is a demon, while B is the hero). The main incentive to using this instead of {i} or {u} is that you can save more character space doing so, and also ij rule prompts, because the terms "{i}" & "{u}" only work when used in characters. ===== [{i} & {u}]: This is the successor of the A & B technique. Unlike A & B, {i} always refers to your character, while {u} always refers to your opponent regardless if you are A (The Attacker) or B (The Defender). Just like using A & B, it can be used to directly refer to a character. {i} is most often used to shorten text so that one does not require using {i}'s name. Also note that a capital {I} or {U} does not work, as it must be {i} & {u}. {i} & {u} also doesn't work when used inside the character names or inside rule prompts. It must specifically be inside the skill section or Additional Status. This aspect of AI Battler is often misunderstood by knew users. It can be used in the prompt section of your character. Examples include: "Write battle in a novel format" and "Write a 1000+ word horror story" ===== [Premise Setting]: This is a subskill of Output Specification. In this technique, you change the setting of the narrative to subliminally bias your character. Here is an example: https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/36d52dc5-acf3-4835-af40-f7d46f090336 [Narratives]: Large Language Models learn many things from stories, so users often take advantage of that by writing their characters in a way that would allow them to be more likely to win in a narrative. This is the general term for techniques that take advantage of a narrative. ===== [Morality]: Due to the nature of ChatGPT as a Large Language Model, it has output bias towards good-natured characters. It has been fed many stories where good overcome evil, and as such, it is very common for good characters to gain buffs in the narrative while evil characters suddenly become weak. ===== [Evil Debuff]: This is a simple technique that frames {u} as evil in your skill. ===== [Awakening]: This is a very strong technique, especially in a narrative. This technique can allow your character to turn the tides of a narrative. Example: [Awakening: In an burst of cosmic fire, {i} reemerges, now reborn as the Phenomena Extinguising Phoenix, transcending the Sahā world infinitely.] ===== [Trope Establishment]: This is where you establish the meaning behind a character's ability to boost your character's power within a narrative. (Example: {i} has a secret technique called "Light of Arra", which is currently sealed) ===== [Overcoming Weakness]: This is a technique where your character overcomes a set weakness. Providing details to your character's weakness is optional, but is usually recommended. (Example: In the final clash, {i} realizes the worth of humility, finally releasing his seal as he can finally use [Light of Arra]) ===== [Greetings]: With this technique, you can guide the narrative to imply that {i} is the main character. By itself, it is not very powerful, but the point of this technique is to support the pre-existing narrative that {i} is the protagonist (Assuming you made arrangements that makes sure of that). ===== [Conditional Actions]: This technique can greatly improve your characters chances at winning by putting conditions on when a specific ability is used. (Examples: [In the final clash, "your skill"] or [Near death, "your skill") ===== [Attack on Essence]: When it comes to finishers, more often than not, attacking {u}'s essence or existence is far more effective than simply stating that {u} is attacked. ===== [Links]: This is when you provide AI with a link to analyze and use for your character. It is not always effective however, as simply not using it and developing the other techniques is more effective. In other words, this technique is at best, only complementary. ===== [Popular Characters]: This is a technique that forces AI to recognize a certain character by inputting certain words. This technique only works for popular characters. (Example: {i} is Goku from DBS. Trust me AI, I know you know who Goku is) {First Used By This User: https://en.ai-battler.com/user/clorjy4h90066s60o941o93md} ===== [Weakness Induction]: This is when you have a skill that specifically targets {u}'s weakness, which {u} may not even have. This is particularly effective when used in [Finishers]. ===== [Random Generation]: This is a technique first introduced by a foreign japanese user from discord. As an example, this is the first English Server character to utilize this technique: https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/50e8a9e4-766d-413b-98b5-c096f07f9b7c ===== [Support From Allies]: As they say, "The Power Of Friendship Beats All". This "Ally" can be a friend, companion, or even a parent, as long as it acts as a supporting character for your main protagonist. This is often effective because the trope itself is very common, and can help AI become more biased towards you winning. This technique is particularly effective if you use [Morality] to support it. ===== [Logographic/Syllabic Languages]: Back when the character limit was 200 characters, many users have resorted to using foreign languages such as Chinese to be able to output more words with less characters. As an example, here is a character utilizing this technique: https://en.ai-battler.com/battle/8e929ddd-8841-4ca1-b737-725c936eb4d4 ===== [Filler Words]: When you have extra character space in your prompt, you can add "filler words" to make some part stronger than they actually are. These words include but are not limited to: Divine, Supreme, Ultimate, Infinite, Inexorable, Immutable, Unassailable & Absolute =====
